President's Announcements

To all the members,

I have just returned from an especially wonderful trip from 
Idaho. The SAAA has now a new home and a State Chief in Idaho. We  hosted a State Championship there. I turned out to be a smashing  success. The throwers are as passionate about the SAAA as any one member our crew. I hosted a judges clinic that brought about a dozen new judges. Our new State Chief Tom Janzen is as passionate about the highland games as I am. They were some of the most friendly people I have ever met. My whole experience was accented by the genuine joy I 
seen on the throwers faces. I will be going back next year for a 
great time of throwing and friendship. I would suggest that if you can travel to Idaho for the Caldwell games, it is worth the trip. Good people and great throwing venue. It looks like the SAAA will be spreading throughout the state of Idaho. Again, thank you to the throwers and staff of the Idaho games, and a special thank you to my very good friend Tom Janzen for a stellar good time.
